About:

The aspiring Sāmanéri will enter into the Pabbajja on 15th November, 2025, in Varanasi, India.  The venue is to be announced.  However, it will be close to Sarnath.  D. A. Jayasinghe has worked in the private sector and joined the teachings of Samadhikusalà Thero in 2016, and has been a keen meditation practitioner as well as a founder Board member of the Samadhikusala Foundation.  

 

Preceptor:

Samadhikusalà Thero will be the preceptor, and Bhikkhunis will help conduct the ceremony. 

 

Who can join:

Friends and Family of the aspiring Sāmanéri and the current practitioners of the Samadhikusala Foundation are welcome to join. 

 

Arrangements:

Participants need to make their own travel and hotel arrangements.

There will be three events - all are invited.  Participation upon online registration. 

 

1.  The Ordination Ceremony (Nov. 15)   Schedule for this event

 

2.  Travelling to Shravasthi on a pilgrimage (Nov. 16-17) Schedule for this event

These event expenses will be covered by generous donations.  You can donate towards the above events.  The costs that are to be covered are the following: Bhikkhus and bhikkhunis: airfares, food and lodgings for the attending Sangha, renting of the event venue and event management.   donation information.
