information

for your Dānà Offering

 

What food NOT to bring:

1. Do NOT bring Meat or Fish.*

2. Do NOT ask monks what they desires as food delicacies. * 

 

Serving and Offering Dānà

Time: Bring Dānà before 11:30 am.

Number of monks: 3

Number of lay attendants: 2

Observe silence beyond the passage and corridor.*

1. Bring the Dānà through the passage and veranda to kitchen.

2. Serve the Dānà into the clay dishes of the tree shaped turn-table.

One or all of the monks will accept the Dānà on behalf of the Sangha.

The monks will serve themselves from the turn-table or will ask you to serve 3. Once the monks sit, he/they will chant and give blessings.

4. Refrain from serving monks after they have started the meal. *

 

Conclusion of Dāna offering

Before you leave, please remember to take all your belongings and containers. To assist with your clean up, there is a sink outside that can be used.

 

Parking

You can park inside the temple premises to the left.

Since it is a building site there may be lorries coming

to deliver goods. Therefore please park in reverse

towards the left side as directed by the gatekeeper.
